![]() Still, after having clocked in 10 hours as of this review, my whole gripe about the lack of health healing stuff aside, it is a decent game, but i do implore anyone reading this review, READ OTHER REVIEWS AS WELL! For although i havent touched on combat encounters in this review and lack the experience to talk about it at length with my limited time clocked into pillars, other reviews, both positive and negative, have stated that they can be random in difficulty, with some being ease, others being "Omg most of my party just got pwned nearly instantly" and some just flat out popping cc spells on your party off the bat/often. Wish alot more game reviews had stated this (by this, i mean the almost complete absence of skills/items/ways to heal health other then camping/resting at an inn) for had i known before hand, i most likely wouldint have bought this and pillars 2, but it was on sale when i got it and just assumed it would have healing spells in the traditional sense and health pots, for in truth, i didint know they made ANY kind of rpg almost fully void of such things until i played Pillars and ive played MANY rpgs/types of rpgs since the days when they started to come out on the NES console and PC. You mainly restore health via camping/resting at an inn. There also doesint seem to be any life leech in the traditional rpg sense aka life/health/hp/what ever you wanna call it steal (again, tryed to google it, and it turns out everyone is just talking about endurance which has so many ways to be restored in this game that its not even funny). There is 1 health restoring talent that you can burn one of your precious talent points you get via lvling that restores 20% of a friendly characters health over 9 seconds once per fight but thats it. ![]() Just a heads up though, there is ALOT to read/investigate, so if you dont got much patience for doing such things, then chances are this game is not for you.Īlso as a heads up, there is NO health healing spells or health potions in this game (you will find many and i do mean MANY, threads talking about healing this and healing that, but they are all referring to restoring endurance, NOT restoring hp/health). Combat is done in "real time" and can be paused when ever you want to have characters be repositioned or cast certain spells. Like the Divinity series, it has multiple difficulty settings for players of all strategic skill levels. Galen Dalgard: To the north of the crossroads during Bounty: Galen Dalgard.A decently enjoyable DnD style rpg with ALOT of story/lore/stuff to read in it.After completing she moves to Copperlane in Defiance Bay where she sells traps. Peregund: Gives the task Ferry Flotsam.Edér: "That over there, that'd be the easy way to get to Defiance Bay.Durance: "Looks like Ondra's gushing enough for both moons.".Kana Rua: "It seems the Dyrwood sees its share of floodwaters.Aloth: "Looks like we'll be taking the long way to Defiance Bay.".Some companions have a special comment upon visiting the remains of the bridge: Galen Dalgard can be found to the north of the crossroads if his bounty is active.Down the dirt road clinging to the side of the cliff is Hanwen and her unhappy band of looters, part of Peregund's quest. Before leaving, be sure to check out the camp to the northeast for a fine hatchet.Explore around the bridge to find some minor loot. Head towards the center of the map to find Peregund near the bridge and take her quest. Xaurips infest most of the area, with a troll to the northwest. A map with isolated points of interest.Looters search the bridge for whatever remains of those unfortunate enough to stand on it when it gave way, while local denizens try to come up with a way to move across the waters instead of having to take a detour. This bridge is the main road into Defiance Bay from the north, or at least it used to be until a flood weakened the foundations and caused Madhmr Bridge to collapse.
